HIS day job is working in finance – but John Tunstead reckons Newmains can bank on their new scouts giving their all.
RBS manager Tunstead will head up the club’s new star spotters department, which was announced this week.
He is teaming up with Garry Campbell and James Hamilton to help pinpoint new recruits and run the rule over the opposition.
Tunstead said: “I’m really excited to have got this opportunity with Newmains. I was attracted to join as I wanted to be a part of a club to hopefully play in part in them progressing.
“Newmains are a club with a great history who are taking all the right steps to build for the future.”
Tunstead already compiles football data for online statistical company IScout.
He added: “I’ve always been a massive football fan and I decided to apply for the IScout role alongside my day job at RBS.
“That has given me experience in attending games and providing statistical analysis on matches which will hopefully help me when it comes to identifying new talent for Newmains.”
