PAUL DAVIES feels steeped in the history at Victoria Park – so loved hearing Craig Brown bring it to life.

Former Scotland boss Brown stars alongside co-manager Davies in the Help Newmains Make A Difference crowdfunding film.

It was produced by graduates within the club’s media academy to help raise funds so the club can put on classes for wellbeing, and education.

Brown spent a year onloan at Victoria Park from Rangers in 1958.

Davies said: “To have someone of the calibre of Craig Brown involved has been wonderful.

“The video only lasts three minutes but Craig spoke for over an hour and had some wonderful facts and history about our club.

“When I’m up at the clubhouse I often hear some similar stories and I love that side of this club.

“To hear Craig talk with a genuine passion was fantastic and it’s brilliant to know he’s desperate to see the club become a community focal point too.

“It would be great to get the community involved to help raise the money which will help the club and community prosper.”

Davies saluted the professionalism of director Hannah Wilson, editor Holly Winship and cameraman Craig Patullo.

He added: “The crowdfunding video is another piece of great work produced by our media academy.

“The commitment, dedication and hard work these graduates have shown to our club has been excellent. They have shown the talents they possess and are a real credit to themselves.”
