ELEVEN-YEAR-OLD Bethany Williamson was excited to pick up her prize-winning Newmains season ticket – now she hopes fans keep flocking to snap them up too.
The Newmains Primary pupil won the club’s competition to design a new badge earlier this summer.
Since then she’s seen her drawing turned into the crest which is now the emblem used to represent the McBookie.com West League Two team.
Bethany has already enjoyed using one of her rewards – a family pass for Blair Drummond Safari Park.
Last week she and Dad Reg visited Victoria Park to watch the team train and collect their new season tickets from chairman Stuart MacKenzie
Tonight she’ll have her fingers crossed as Newmains host their first home league game of the season against Vale of Clyde.
Fans have been buying the season tickets in their droves, which cost just £10 and land a 20 percent discount on evening meals and takeaways from Waterloo-based Pink Turban.
Bethany said: “It was great to go along to the club and meet the chairman and players to get my season ticket.
“I’ve been thrilled to see the final design for the club badge in use. I hope it brings the team luck this year.
“I had a great time at Blair Drummond. We were there all day and we still didn’t get chance to see or do everything. We will be back there soon.”
Dad Reg added: “The club has really made Bethany feel special and a real part of the regeneration of the club.”
Season tickets can be bought on the gate at home games, by speaking to a member of the committee at away games – or simply contact us through the website or Facebook page and we’ll be happy to help.
