NEWMAINS UNITED travel to face a St Anthony’s side that won 43 percent of their games on home soil last season.
Today will be the first visit to McKenna Park since last November, when a closely fought match ended up with Willie Mcglone sent off and The Ants running out 2-1 winners.
The sides last met at United’s Victoria Park in May for a league fixture that finished with St Anthony’s putting six past Newmains without reply.
After losing to Vale of Clyde on Wednesday evening The Ants lie 12th in McBookie League Two, a place and two points above United.
St Anthony’s lost their first two games of the season but opened their account last weekend when they beat Lugar Boswell Thistle 3-0.
Despite the results, goals have not been hard to come by for the Ants.
They have scored ten goals in all competitions so far with forward David Edwards leading the scoring charts on three.
