Stuart goes Forth to say thanks

NEWMAINS chairman Stuart MacKenzie insists the generosity shown by Forth Wanderers won’t be forgotten.
Due to unforeseen circumstances United have switched their opening league cup section clash from Victoria Park to Forth’s Kingshill Park (kick-off 2pm).
It means the club’s first home game of the season against Carluke Roverswill be played in South Lanarkshire rather than North Lanarkshire.
MacKenzie was overwhelmed by the way Forth and their committee went out of their way to answer their plea for help.
He said: “We are hugely grateful to Forth and the people at the club like John McCormick for coming to our aid so quickly.
“They are a good club ran by good people. John said we could use their ground without hesitation and that it would be a sad day if they couldn’t help a friend out.
“Gestures such as these will always be remembered by Newmains.”
