Davies a fan of supporters being back as football returns to…

PAUL DAVIES can’t wait to see fans back at Victoria Park tonight.

After seeing the last two pre-season games cancelled because of covid call-offs and injuries, Newmains United host amateur side Carluke Thistle tonight (Wednesday, 7pm kick-off)

It’s the first game at their home ground for 18 months and Davies said: “It’s been disappointing having to cancel the last two friendlies due to players isolating and injuries.

“It’s hampered our preparations but it’s the sign of the times unfortunately. We look forward to welcoming Scott Parry’s Carluke Thistle and hopefully seeing some of our supports back for the game.”
