He’s the statsman: Rosyth FC

EVERY week one of our intrepid reporters will bring you the inside track on our upcoming opponents. First up Josh Kane does the number crunching on our cup rivals from Fife…

This weekend Newmains welcome Rosyth FC to Victoria Park in the second round of the Macron Scottish Cup.
Playing their games in the East Region South Premier League, the Fifers currently sit bottom of the table. But Newmains know that will count for nothing this Saturday.
Rosyth will be looking for a change of fortune to kickstart their season after just one league win in seven attempts. They come into the game on the back of a 4-1 defeat to undefeated leaders Pumpherston.
However Rosyth have impressed in cup fixtures this season and thrashed Coupar Angus 12-1 in the second round of the East of Scotland Junior Cup.
Star striker Tam Hampson will be one for the Newmains defence to keep an eye on after already racking up eight goals to sit joint top if the goal charts in the division.
