NEWMAINS UNITED have appointed David Menelaws as their interim manager.
The former senior and junior striker will take charge at Victoria Park after co-bosses Paul Davies and Craig Gupwell quit.
Menelaws has been handed the role until the end of the season while the club conduct their interview process for a permanent gaffer.
It will be Menelaws’ first hotseat role after most recently assisting Derek Wilson at Bellshill Athletic.
Menelaws said: “After plenty of experience as an assistant, I’m delighted to be given an opportunity to start my management career at a club as good as Newmains United.
“I aim to continue the great work Paul and Craig have put in over the last three years.
“I would like to thank them both for placing their trust in me to take the club forward.”
The club are currently inviting applications for the permanent role.
