PREVIOUS results would say Saturday’s match at New Pebble Park is going to promise goals galore.

Newmains United travel to Ayrshire to take on Annbank for the first time this campaign.

The Victoria Park side can take some heart from the fact Annbank have not won a competitive match at home this season.

Their last triumph in front of their own fans was the 5-2 win against Muirkirk in April.

Annbank have played two more games than United but sit just two points ahead of them in ninth spot.

United will need to be wary, though, as Annbank have goals throughout their squad this season.

Eight different people have netted so far with Euan Smith topping the scoring charts with three goals and Mitchell Ewing close behind on two.

Last season’s league meetings produced 17 goals – 11 for the Bankies and six for the Lanarkshire side.

Paul Davies and Craig Gupwell’s team won 4-2 at Victoria Park in January. A Paul Donaghy double and strikes from Craig Scott and Martin Janik completed the victory.
