Written Inglis: Dylan becomes latest reporter to join academy

DYLAN INGLIS has become the latest student to sign up to the Newmains United Media Academy.

The University of Stirling journalism high flyer has spent the past few months covering matches and conducting interviews.

He has quickly impressed everyone at the club with his commitment and work ethic.

Dylan has also agreed to take on the Stats Life column, which previews our upcoming opponents.

Previous students who have done this column have since gone on to secure full-time media employment.

Dylan said: “I’m currently in third year studying journalism and hope to get into the world of sports reporting.

“When the opportunity at Newmains United came about I knew it would be great to get involved!

“Having seen and heard some of the work going on at the club’s media academy it seemed like a great place to come and develop my skills.

“In the short time I’ve been involved I have already been given multiple opportunities to develop my interviewing skills.

“The resulting stories have appeared with my byline in both the Wishaw Press and Daily Record, which has been a huge personal milestone.

“I’m absolutely buzzing for the new season to get underway now!”

Fancy joining the academy too? If you’re a budding journalist, photographer, graphic designer or videographer then we’d love to hear from you. Contact us here or send us a message via our social media channels.
