Film-making has been a passion of mine since I attended screen acting classes as a young teen. I was a bit of a drama queen growing up so I thought I would fit right into the world of acting. However as I matured I discovered my love for being behind the camera. I liked my voice to be heard, which helped me fall into the role of director. Throughout high school I always succeeded with creative subjects, helping my confidence grow and influencing my career choices. I recently graduated from City of Glasgow College, obtaining a HND in Creative Industries: Television. I was subsequently approached by The Willow Tea Rooms Trust to direct a documentary for them. In the final stages of production I went to America for three months to teach the art of film-making to kids at a summer camp. I am now settled back in Glasgow and am launching my own film-making company.
When I approached Newmains United to ask about getting involved with some match coverage videos I was welcomed with warmth and great enthusiasm. I was quickly provided with the opportunity to produce the film for the Newmains United Christmas Message. I was thrilled and couldn’t wait to get started! The players were excellent to work with, as were their kids. The film reached over 30,000 people on social media and was also covered in the national and local media. I look forward to working on more projects involving the club in the future.
