Follow @Innes_McVeyI’m currently studying Digital Media at the University of Stirling and hope to become a freelance photographer and videographer.
When I found out Newmains United were looking for media-related volunteers I jumped at the chance. I was looking for an opportunity that would allow me to produce both photo and video work whilst also giving me creative freedom to work on projects in my own style. Newmains United has given me all of the above plus an opportunity to work in a whole new environment - live sport and football specifically.
I have already produced a promotional video for the club and gym CrossFit Airdrie and have taken photographs for a few of the club’s home and away games, all of which have been featured on Newmains’s social media and website.
Going forwards I hope to work with Newmains United on a variety of projects and use those experiences to build up a showcase of my work and to improve my skillset for the future.
